How to add Yelp locations and check reviews

Yelp integration will let your receive notifications to your Inbox whenever you get a new review

With our Yelp integration, you won't miss new reviews any longer. e-clincher now integrates with Yelp API, which has become recently available.

There are a couple of things you should know in advance, so keep reading to make sure you're all set on using this incredibly useful feature inside our Social Inbox.

Connecting

To add a new Yelp location you own and would like to monitor using our Social Inbox, please follow these steps:

On your left navigation bar, click the Add & Manage Accounts icon then click the "+Add Account" button
From the pop-up window, move to Integrations tab
Click on Yelp icon




You will see a form asking you for the business name and the full address. city, state or zip code. Add relevant information on the blanks
Click "Search Business on Yelp"
Select the correct location from the dropdown list


Can't find your business?

If your business does not appear when clicking on "Search Business on Yelp", don't worry. We've got you covered!

Yelp API it's pretty recent, so it may have a little hard time finding your location. Here are some things you need to check:

Type the exact name of your business, as it appears on Yelp. As for the address, leave out city, state and zip code. Click Search and look for your business
If the above does not work, try a combination. Always type the exact name of the business, then try just the city, or the zip code
Please make sure your Yelp location is claimed and has at least one review prior adding it to e-clincher. Yelp's API will not show any location that does not have at least one review. You can read more about this limitation here.


Checking for reviews

Now you're ready to check reviews using e-clincher Inbox.

Please go to your Inbox, you will be receiving notification when ever a new review is added to your Yelp listing. Please note, due to Yelp API restriction, our inbox will only show you notifications about a new reviews - to see the actual review, click on "Show in Yelp".
To quickly check Yelp reviews, use the "Profiles" or the "Types" filters.
To read the actual review, click on "Show in Yelp". It will open a new tab with the Yelp review page for your location.





Note: Reviews made prior to adding your Yelp account to e-clincher, will not be displayed, just the new ones.
