Publishing Instagram Content via Mobile Device Using Push Notifications

Eclincher supports direct publishing to Instagram for single-image posts, carousel posts, video posts, Reels, and Stories. However, some content types require a few finishing touches before they go live, such as adding collaborations, audio, or other Instagram-specific settings. This is where push notification publishing comes in. It allows you to receive a notification on your mobile device, open the post in the Instagram app, make any final edits, and publish it with just a tap.

This guide walks you through how to enable push notifications on both iOS and Android devices.

Getting Started

Open your preferred mobile web browser on your iOS or Android phone or tablet and visit app.eclincher.com. We recommend adding it to your home screen for quick and easy access going forward.

For iOS (Mobile and Tablet Web Browser)

Step 1: Allow Notifications

Visit app.eclincher.com and add it to your home screen.

Step 2: Allow Notifications

Once you are logged in, a prompt will appear asking if you would like to allow notifications from Eclincher. Tap Allow to proceed.

Step 3: Go to Manage Accounts

Tap the Menu icon in the top-right corner of the screen, select Manage Accounts, and scroll down to find your Instagram profile.

Step 4: Enable Push Notifications

Tap the checkbox that says "Enable push notification to publish Story/GIF with this device".

Step 6: Receive Your Notification

Whenever a post is scheduled that requires push notification publishing, a notification will appear on your iOS device.

Step 7: Complete the Publishing Process

Tap the notification to open the post in the Instagram app. Make any final edits you need, such as adding collaborations, audio, or stickers, and then publish the post directly from the Instagram app.

For Android (Mobile and Tablet Web Browser)

Step 1: Add Eclincher to Your Home Screen

Visit app.eclincher.com and log in. If this is your first time using the app, add it to your home screen for easier access in the future.

Step 2: Reset Site Permissions

Tap and hold the Eclincher app icon on your home screen, then select Site Settings. Tap the Delete Data and Reset Permissions button. This step ensures that the notification permission is set up correctly on your device.

Step 3: Allow Notifications

Once added to your home screen, a notification permission prompt should appear asking for permission to receive Eclincher news and updates. Tap Allow.

Step 4: Go to Manage Accounts

Return to the Eclincher app, tap the Menu icon in the top-right corner, select Manage Accounts, and scroll down to your Instagram profile.

Step 5: Enable Push Notifications

Tap the checkbox that says "Enable push notification to publish Story/GIF with this device" and then tap Save Changes.

Step 6: Receive Your Notification

Whenever a post is scheduled that requires push notification publishing, a notification will appear on your Android device.
