Understanding Emails and Push alerts

Utilizing Triggered Email and Push Notifications for Important Scenarios and Configuration Steps

Email and push notifications are valuable tools for receiving timely alerts about significant events within the system. This article will guide you through the process of enabling these notifications for various key scenarios:

Notifying the team about Inbox assignments via email.
Sending an email notification for post failures.
Requesting post approval from the team via email.
Requesting post approval from external users or clients via email.
Receiving an email notification when the one-time queue is empty.
Sending a push notification for Instagram publishing.

Let's explore each scenario and the corresponding configuration steps:

1. Email Notifying the Team about Inbox Assignments

For Premier or higher plan users, you can involve your team in handling Inbox items. To keep everyone updated on incoming tasks, you can activate email notifications whenever an item is assigned. Here's how to set it up:

- Access the Notification settings by clicking on the Notification Bell icon at the top of your dashboard.

Notification Settings

- In the eclincher desktop app, go to the Inbox, select Options, and click on "Assign it."

Assign Inbox Items

- Select a team member and check the "Send notification to assigned users" option. You can also add additional instructions to your team in the same pop-up.

2. Post Failure Email

To stay informed about post failures and take appropriate action, eclincher can send you an email notification immediately after a post fails to publish. Follow these steps to enable post failure notification emails:

- On your eclincher dashboard, click on the bell icon at the top and select "Notification Settings."

Notification Settings

- Under the "Posting" section, select and enable emails for "Post Failed to Publish."

3. Email to Request Post Approval from the Team

If your plan includes multiple team members, such as Premier or Agency, you can use email notifications to request post approvals. To trigger approval email notifications, follow these steps:

- Go to the "Publishing" section and select "Approval List."
- Choose the desired posts.
- Click on the three-dot icon and select "Send email to request approval."

4. Email to Request Post Approval from External Users/Clients

For Premier and Agency plans, eclincher allows "external users" (e.g., your customers) who don't have access to the e-clincher platform to provide feedback and approve posts via email. Here's how it works:

- Assign the desired posts to your customers by selecting them in the "Publishing" section's "Approval List."
- Choose "Bulk Actions" and click on "Assign For Approval."
- Check the relevant users on your approval list.

Assign for Approval

- eclincher will generate a link that you can include in your

communication with the external user/customer.
- Copy the link and attach it to your email. This link will direct your customers to a web page displaying all approval items, allowing them to provide comments, approve, or reject the post. The page can be customized with your brand attributes.

Approval Link

- The feedback from the customer will be automatically captured in eclincher, streamlining the customer interaction workflow.

5. One-Time Queue Empty Email

To ensure you stay on top of your posts schedule, you can set up an email alert that will be sent when the one-time queue becomes empty. Follow these steps:

- Go to "Publishing," select "Auto Post with Queues," and click on "Edit Queues."
- Choose the one-time queue and enable the option to "Send email when the one-time queue is empty."

6. Instagram Publishing Push Notification

When publishing to Instagram, e-clincher allows you to handle the creative and approval aspects within the platform. However, in some cases, you may need to complete the process from your mobile device. To receive a push notification on your device at the scheduled publishing time, follow these steps:

- When posting a single image to Instagram Business, select "Use Push Notification" in the "Publishing" section's "Publishing and Scheduling." For posts with multiple images, this option will be automatically selected.
