Failing to add new social profiles and pages, renew token, or update account.

In case you are not successful adding new social accounts, profiles, pages, or to renew token or to update account, please read this article.

Typically, we will have multiple social accounts of the same channel. For example, we want to add multiple Facebook accounts, or LinkedIn, or Twitter accounts. Every time we click on a channel icon to add a new social account to eclincher - it will log us in to that account. For example, you click on Facebook icon to add your Facebook account - it will log you in to that account. Now, when you try to add a second Facebook account, it will try to add the previous account, the one you are already logged in (in this case, nothing will happen and the second Facebook account will not be added).

So, when you try to add another social account of the same social channel you previously added, it may fail due to another account log in. Unfortunately, this is part of browser and the social channel behavior to keep you logged in.

Please follow these steps to successfully add account:

Open a new tab and type in facebook.com (or the url of the account you are trying to add: linkedin.com, or twitter.com, etc.) . This will show you right away if you are logged in. Typically, the browser saves the social account log in and will keep you logged in.
Log out of the social account.
Go back to the eclincher tab. In the Add & Manage Accounts, click to add your new social account. This time, the social channel popup will open and request your account credentials. Please type the relevant credentials for the new social account.

The same issue can happen if you are trying to renew token or update your account (due to new pages, token expiration, password change...) - you may already be logged in to a different account. Simply, open a new tab and log out from the social account, go back to e-clincher and click to renew token.
