eclincher now supports Instagram Direct Messages



In an effort to create a better UX/UI for Instagram users, the Messenger API for Instagram now allows developers to connect to the direct message feature of Instagram. Due to an API limitation, previously, Instagram Direct messaging was not included in eclincher's Social Inbox and social media managers still had to work natively on Instagram to check messages and mentions as well as, reply to messages. With the NEW API, eclincher can now give its users an improved workflow that increases productivity as well as provide a high quality messaging experience removing another limitation to eclincher clients.

With Instagram Direct Messages (DMs) you'll be able to:
Reply to direct messages through the eclincher platform
Reply when you are mentioned in an Instagram story

How to add your Instagram DM on eclincher Inbox

Configure the Messages settings in your Instagram mobile app to receive incoming Instagram direct messages to your eclincher account.

On your Instagram account (mobile app) please do the following:



Tap the hamburger menu button
Select Settings
Select Privacy
Select Messages
Under Connected Tools, toggle on the "Allow Access to Messages"

On your eclincher account

Make sure your Instagram profile is properly connected
Go to the Inbox section
Select the Profile filter for the Instagram account and Type filter to easily access the Instagram Direct Messages items from your Inbox





Supported Types of Instagram Direct Messages

When Another User Reaches Out Over Regular Direct Message (DM)
Get notified and reply to a regular direct message
(Can be replied within 7 days)



When Another User Mentions YOU in their Stories
Get notified and reply when someone mentions you to their stories
(Can be replied within 7 days )



When Another User Replies to YOUR Story
Get notified and easily reply back when someone replied to your story reply via the eclincher Inbox
(Can be replied within 7 days )
