Converting Your Personal TikTok Account to a Business Account

Converting your personal TikTok account into a business account is easy, and it unlocks a variety of useful features to help you grow and manage your brand effectively. Follow these simple steps to make the switch:

Step 1: Open the TikTok App and Access Your Profile

Open the TikTok mobile app and tap on your Profile icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Access Settings and Privacy

Tap on the Burger icon (three horizontal lines) at the top right corner of the screen, then select Settings and Privacy from the menu that appears.

Step 3: Switch to a Business Account

In the Account section, tap on Account, then choose Switch to a Business Account.

Step 4: Choose Your Business Category

TikTok will guide you through the benefits of a business account and help you select a category that best represents your brand. Pick the most suitable category for your business.

Next Steps: Add Your New TikTok Business Account to eclincher

Once you’ve successfully converted your TikTok account to a business account, return to the eclincher desktop app or mobile app. Navigate to Manage Accounts, then click the TikTok Business icon to add your newly converted account.

Note: Your previous personal profile will still appear in the account list on eclincher. You can choose to either disable or delete the old profile. It is highly suggested that you remove the personal profile in eclincher to avoid confusion. However, remember that deleting accounts in eclincher will also delete any scheduled posts associated with that account.
