Mastering the Bulk Upload Feature: A Step-by-Step Guide


The Bulk Upload feature in Eclincher allows you to efficiently upload multiple posts at once, saving you valuable time and effort. In this comprehensive guide, we’ll walk you through different options and scenarios for using the Bulk Upload feature to help you streamline your content scheduling.


Overview


The Bulk Upload feature supports uploading up to 100 posts at a time and provides flexibility with various upload scenarios, including:


From a CSV / XLSX File:


  • Bulk Upload Posts (Scheduled Posts): Directly schedule your posts.
  • Bulk Upload Posts (Draft Posts): Add posts to your Draft Folder.
  • Bulk Upload Posts (Approval List): Send posts to your Approval List for review.
  • Bulk Upload to Approval List (Auto Post with Queues): Queue posts for auto-posting after approval.


From a Folder:


  • Bulk Upload to Queue (With Preview Image): Automatically scrape a preview image from the URL (video or image).
  • Bulk Upload to Queue (Text Only): Upload only the text, with no image preview from included URLs.
  • Bulk Upload to Approval List: Queue posts in bulk for review and approval.


From an RSS Feed:


  • Bulk Upload to Queue: Enter the URL to create a new post.
  • Bulk Upload via RSS Feed: Enter the RSS feed URL to bulk upload posts from the feed.


You can access the Bulk Upload feature by navigating to the top-right area of your Publishing Page under Publishing & Scheduling > Upload Posts.


CSV/XLSX Formats

Bulk Upload to Calendar/Drafts/Approval List:

* Column A: Enter the scheduled time in the format yyyy-mm-dd hh

  • am/pm.
  • Column B: Add the content for the post.
  • Column C: Paste the image URL (ensure the URL has public viewing permissions).
  • Column D: (Advanced plans only) Add the brand name.
  • Column E: Add the social media channel (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
  • Column F: Add the exact profile name.
  • Column G: If using Facebook, add the group name. Meta API does not support Facebook Groups anymore
  • Column H: If multiple profiles have the same name, add the identifying profile address.
  • Column I/J: (For Google Business profiles) Add the call-to-action and URL if applicable.


Bulk Upload to a Queue


  • Column A: Add post content.
  • Column B: Paste the image URL.
  • Column C: (Optional) Add campaign tags.


How to Use the Bulk Upload Feature


Here’s how to use the Bulk Upload feature effectively:


  1. Navigate to Upload Posts
    Go to your Publishing Page or Auto-post with Queues and click on Upload Posts.



  1. Choose Your Upload Scenario
    Select the appropriate upload option depending on whether you're uploading to the calendar, queue, drafts, or the approval list.



  1. Include Image URLs
    If you're using image URLs (Column C), ensure the image is publicly accessible. Right-click on the image, open it in a new tab, and copy the raw image URL


  1. Save Your File
    Make sure to save your CSV/XLSX file in the correct format, especially if you're using special characters or emojis.


  1. Finalize Your Upload
    Once the bulk upload is complete, assign profiles, queues, and make any necessary edits to the posts. Don’t forget to **save **your work!


Bulk Upload Images from a Folder



  1. Save Images
    Save all the images you wish to upload in one folder.


  1. Choose Bulk Upload Option
    Select the Upload Images from Folder option, click on Upload, then choose the folder where your images are save


  1. Upload Images Alphabetically
    The images will be uploaded in alphabetical order based on file names.


Attach Images in Bulk to Posts


If you want to bulk attach images to posts without images, follow these steps:


In the BULK ACTIONS dropdown, select UPLOAD IMAGES WILL ONLY APPLY TO POSTS WITHOUT IMAGES.



  1. Choose the folder with the images, and they will be automatically attached based on the file name.


  1. Images will only be attached to posts without images. Posts with an existing image or preview will be skipped


Bulk Upload to Queue from an RSS URL


  1. Navigate to Curated RSS/Atom Feeds
    Click Feeds on your left sidebar, then go to Curated RSS/Atom Feeds.



  1. Search your RSS feed and upload them to your queue
    Enter the RSS URL that you want to bulk upload, then click the Upload Posts to Queue(s) button above it.
