My post is saved without text
My post is saved without text
I copied and pasted text to the post editor, but after saving the post is missing the text
In some rare cases, when you copy and paste text to eclincher post editor, the text will not be saved. For example: you copy text from Photoshop and paste it to eclincher. The text may appear fine on the post editor, but when you try to save it (schedule it, save it to draft, or save it to post approval) it will actually not be saved and the post will appear empty.
The reason for this is some software tools like Photoshop may add special characters that are not recognized by text editors and may not be visible in our post editor. Our post editor doesn't know how to display these special characters and may not display them. The post might look normal with the full copied text.
When you try to save it, that's when it fails completely as it can not save unrecognized characters.
To make sure your copied text doesn't contain unrecognized characters, you can paste it first into word document or google doc, or other editors. If you see characters like this: just delete them and copy the whole text again. Paste it without the characters into the eclincher post editor.
Now it will be saved correctly.
